Data Security Policy
Comprehensive overview of our data protection measures, privacy practices, and security protocols for legal professionals
Last updated: January 15, 2024
At Empath Legal, we understand that legal professionals handle sensitive and confidential information. Our data security practices are designed to protect your clients and your practice with the highest standards of care.
Data Ownership
You own your data. Period. We never claim any ownership rights to the data you upload or generate through our platform. Your case files, juror information, and analysis results belong entirely to you and your clients.
No AI Training
Your client data is never used to train AI models. We maintain strict separation between your confidential information and any machine learning processes. Your case strategies and juror insights remain exclusively yours.
Data Deletion
When you delete data, it is permanently removed from our systems. We do not maintain hidden backups or shadow copies. Deletion means deletion - your data is completely and irreversibly erased from all our infrastructure.
No Third-Party Sharing
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties. We do not monetize your information in any way. Our business model is built on providing you excellent service, not exploiting your data.
No Content Monitoring
We do not log or monitor the contents of your files. Our systems only track technical metadata necessary for platform operation, such as file sizes and timestamps. The substance of your work remains private.
Security Measures
All data transmission uses TLS encryption. Data at rest is stored in secure, encrypted storage. We perform regular security updates and audits to ensure your information remains protected against emerging threats.
